HR Evans Steel Company, was founded in 1983 by Harold R. and Sheila D. Evans in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. HR Evans initially began business in a 12,000 square foot warehouse. In 2003, we welcomed an additional principal, Michael W. Bitcko. His experience and expertise in the steel industry helped us to expand to new heights. This growth forced our move into the current warehouse, which is 180,000 square feet located in East Palestine, Ohio. We have added a six torch high-definition plasma, multiplate burning system, and a HEM structural saw line. We also installed our ironworkers and sheet shear and added five trucks.

In 2008, the original HR Evans Steel Company was acquired by Greco Acquisitions, Inc. while still doing business as HR Evans Steel Company. Michael W. Bitcko remains President and Chief Operating Officer. He oversees all daily operations of the business to ensure continued excellence in customer services and product quality.

Serving Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, West Virginia, and New York, we have enhanced our product line to service steel fabricators and original equipment manufacturers, as well as construction, transportation and mining industries.

Our company is constantly reinvesting and expanding to better meet the needs of our customers, but our dedication to quality and customer service will always remain our number one priority.
